Let's keep it going!
The street levy that village voters authorized in 2020 has done wonders for Saint Paris. Just look at this map!
Now it's time to renew. If you support this levy and the Saint Paris infrastructure program (can't imagine why you wouldn't!) please refer your friends to this site.
The vote is Tuesday. Here's the card we've been passing around:
This is not a new tax
The original 4-mill levy was passed in 2020 and is due for renewal this year.
It leverages double what is raised.
The levy has raised $545,000 since 2021. That money has been used gain just under $1 million in state and federal money. Which means our $545,000 got us nearly $1.5 million in street improvements! (That is how grants work; almost all require a local contribution.)
About half the streets in town have been improved in some way.
Just getting started here.
The idea is to develop this website with the facts (and maybe some informed opinion) about Saint Paris government and politics. Your comments are welcome.
